ロバート・キノシタ

ロバート・キノシタ（Robert Kinoshita、1914年2月24日 – 2014年12月9日)は、アメリカ合衆国の美術家、アートディレクター、舞台美術家、プロダクションデザイナー。 1950年代から1980年代初頭にかけてアメリカの映画やテレビ業界で働いていた。

バイオグラフィー

キノシタはロサンゼルスで生まれ、Boyle Heights地区で育った。

Roosevelt High Schoolを卒業後、南カリフォルニア大学で建築を学んだ。 キノシタは1940年に南カリフォルニア大学を卒業し、建築とデザインの学士号を取得した。^[1]

第二次世界大戦中、キノシタと妻のリリアン・マツヤマはアリゾナ州のポストン戦争強制収容センターに収容された。^[1]

脚本家としての彼のキャリアは、1937年にHundred Men and a Girlから始まったが^[2]、1956年に特殊効果の仕事のために映画に戻り、クレジットなしだが映画『禁断の惑星』で有名な「ロビー・ザ・ロボット」を作り上げるまでに戦後数年かかった。
