ハイパー・カルヴィニズム

ハイパー・カルヴィニズム（英語：Hyper-Calvinism）は、カルヴァン主義の一形態。批判的に、超カルヴァン主義、過度のカルヴァン主義などとも呼ばれる。

神学

18世紀におけるこの立場の代表とされる神学者には、ジョン・ギルがおり、A Body of Doctrinal Divinity（1767年）で知られる。パティキュラー・バプテスト、オランダ系アメリカ人のカルヴァン主義者の中に今日でも存在するとされる見解である。

この立場としてヘルマン・フクセマの1966年の著書Reformed dogmaticsがある。ジャン・カルヴァン[1]、アブラハム・カイパー[2]、マーティン・ロイドジョンズ[3]ら改革派神学者は、異教徒にも与えられる非救済的な神の恵みである一般恩寵の存在を認めるが、それに対して米キリスト改革派教会（CRC）のヘルマン・フクセマは、神を信じない者には一般恩寵を含め神の恵みは一切与えられず、再生するまでの人間は相対的な善も行えないと主張した。[4]

不可抗的恩寵 の教理の強調から異教徒には真理を宣言するだけでよいとし、福音伝道の必要を認めない[5]。
