Jiles Perry "J. P." Richardson Jr. (24 Oktober 1930 – 3 Februari 1959), dikenal sebagai The Big Bopper, adalah seorang musisi, penulis lagu dan disjoki asal Amerika Serikat. Komposisi-komposisi terkenalnya meliputi "Chantilly Lace" dan "White Lightning", yang menjadi hit nomor satu pertama George Jones pada 1959. Ia tewas dalam kecelakaan pesawat di Iowa pada 1959, bersama dengan rekan musisi Buddy Holly dan Ritchie Valens dan pilot Roger Peterson.^[1]
