Pelkokamera

Pelkokamera (Scare Tactics) yhdysvaltalainen tosi-TV ohjelma, jota esitetään yhdysvalloissa Syfy-kanavalla. Ohjelman on tuottanut Hallock & Healey Entertainment, mutta Kanadassa tuottajana toimii Razer. Ohjelman ensimmäinen jakso esitettiin huhtikuussa 2003. Pelkokameraa on esitetty Suomessa JIM-kanavalla maaliskuusta 2008 lähtien.

Formaatti

Pelkokamera on piilokameraformaattia noudattava sarja, jossa yritetään hauskuuttamisen sijaan säikäyttää uhreja mahdollisimman sokeeraavasti, käyttämällä esimerkiksi tekoverta, maskeerauksia sekä erilaisten kauhuelokuvien teemoja. Jokaisessa jaksossa on neljä erilaista tapausta (engl. case), kussakin yksi uhri. Kaikki muut sivuhahmot ovat näyttelijöitä tai avustajia, esimerkiksi uhrin ystäviä, jotka ovat ns. juonessa mukana. Kaikki kamerat ovat samantyylisien formaattien tapaan piilotettu.

Tietoa

Ohjelmasta on ilmestynyt kaksi kautta; ensimmäisen kauden juonsi Shannen Doherty, toisen kauden Stephen Baldwin. Suomessa ohjelma esitetään 30 minuutin leikattuna versiona.

Toukokuussa 2003 ohjelman luoneet Scott Hallock sekä Kevin Healey saivat oikeussyytteen Kara Blanc- nimiseltä naiselta, joka oli saanut useita traumoja jouduttuaan ohjelman uhriksi. Vuonna 2005 oikeusjuttu kuitenkin hylättiin.
