The Ohio State Awards were a group of awards created to recognize meretorious achievement in educational television and public service broadcasting, first in radio and then also in television, and to encourage excellence in future productions in the television industry. A ceremony was held each year at the American Exhibition of Educational Radio and Television Programs, held at Ohio State University.
History
The awards were founded in 1936 as part of a division of the WOSU Stations, the public broadcasting stations of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.[1]
