Konewka [kɔˈnɛfka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Inowłódz, within Tomaszów Mazowiecki County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Inowłódz, 9 km (6 mi) north-east of Tomaszów Mazowiecki, and 53 km (33 mi) south-east of the regional capital Łódź.[1]
There is a preserved bunker complex from World War II in the village, now housing a museum.
History
During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), the occupiers operated a forced labour camp for Poles and Jews at a local sawmill.[2]
