The centre of Komorów

Komorów [kɔˈmɔruf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Michałowice, within Pruszków County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland.[2] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Pruszków and 15 km (9 mi) south-west of Warsaw.

The village was founded in 1424. The name comes from the Slavic name Komor. It has its own suburban light railway station (Komorów) (Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa).

In 1956, novelist Maria Dąbrowska settled in Komorów. Her residence currently houses a local library.
