Kobylnica [kɔbɨlˈnit͡sa] (German: Kublitz)[1] is a village in Słupsk County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Kobylnica.[2] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-west of Słupsk and 107 km (66 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk.

Before 1648 the area was part of Duchy of Pomerania, and in 1648-1945 it belonged to Prussia and Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
