American physician and university administrator

J. Larry Jameson is an American physician-scientist and academic administrator serving as the interim president of the University of Pennsylvania since December 2023.[1] He has served as the dean of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania since 2011.[2] He is the Robert G. Dunlop professor of medicine and an executive vice president of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.[2]

Jameson earned a BS in Chemistry in 1976 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also earned both an MD and a PhD in biochemistry from Chapel Hill in 1981.[3]
